Photoshop Elements 6 Book for Digital Photographers
Excellent
Book
A great hands on help for using
photoshop
elements
. Found it was better than the "help" tab. I found the layout and the examples clear and easy to follow. This book was recommended by our instructor at a photoshop workshop class. After reading and starting to use it, I can see why. There is so much in this book. All the tips and tricks. Years of use packed into one book. A must have for anyone using photoshop.
Very good for newbies like me!
A good step by step
book
where you learn by working through examples. Kelby and Kloskowsi are users and trainers of the software, so their instructions are very clear. Sadly, some of the cool features which are included in the Windows version are used in the book but these features are not included in my MAC version of
Photoshop
Elements
6. The authors point
that
out in their book that not all of their instructions are applicable to the MAC version.
I suppose that it is possible that I just couldn't figure out how to use some features. E.g., the very cool face tagging feature either doesn't work on my brand new MACbook Pro, or I just can't figure out how to use it!

users. Very clear and easy to use.
Photoshop Elements 6 Book for Digital Photographers
This is a thick
book
that
can be used as a reference guide when processing pictures in
Elements
6 software. The chapters are short and to the point for each subject. There are many problems listed with step by step help in solving them. When doing picture processing one doesn't want to spend processing time with lengthy reading of instructions, and this book is short and sweet for each solution needed.
Photshop Elements 6 for Digital Photographers
This is an all inclusive description of the functions of Adobe
Photoshop
Elements
6. In fact it is a bit too detailed.
The
book
could have used a summary sheet lising the various steps needed to perform an operation rather than doing a description in paragraph form.
It is also needed to differentiate why one operation is better than another along with doing quick fixes instead of the longer and more detailed ones.
In essence the book is quite good but needed a quick view chapter of the basics.
