The daycare kids go crazy for this!
The kids at the daycare where I work get this glazed expression now whenever they see this book - they chant
FANCY
NANCY
over and over. The fancy girls who all love pink and purple and glitter, of course, took to this right away. All of the boys have hovered nearby to overhear what happens, and now they just clamor on in with all the girls to reread the story again and again. It's a great story with a great heart. The expressive and detailed illustrations remind me of Hillary Knight, which is a good thing.
Even better are the lessons: learning acceptance for people who are different... in this case, ironically, a precocious child learning to accept and appreciate her normal family for who they are. But what I really loved about this book was the way Fancy Nancy's family provide selfless validation for her in the way they embrace her interests - an excellent model for all of us.

Wonderful story
I loved this book...it is so sweet and my own grandbaby "
Fancy
Nancy
" will love it!!
The cutest book ever!
I have been reading the
Fancy
Nancy
books to my daughter since she was a year old. She loves them. She asks for Nancy every night and at nap time too! She now is the proud owner of a Fancy Nancy doll.
Stupendous, That's fancy for Great
I bought this for my toddler because she was already showing all the signs of fanciness. It quickly became one of her favorite books. So I had to get a copy for my niece who is also
fancy
. Great way to grow a little one's vocab and encourage their own personality to develop.
Fancy Feast
This book is a feast for the eyes. Beautifully illustrated and with a very nice lesson about love and family, this book is a favorite of mine(and my three year old loves it as well).
Nancy
lives in her own little
fancy
world, but she is loved for who she is. This book is a great read. Adults and children will be happy to sit down and read this one
