couldn't put it down

this was an amazing story, it is one of those you couldn't put down. you know you had other things to do, but one more chapter or one more page. actually i read it in two days. can't wait for his next one.

Too Sappy and Unbelievable

After reading this book, I felt like I was covered in honey - way too sappy! And so unbelievable! #1-Not too many career oriented men change their lives overnight (actually in a few months), sell their practise, expensive home and do a 180 with their life. This man was driven to suceed since he was a child. Astrangement with his son did not change him and he never saw his wife that much to begin with, but she divorces him and he snaps and completely changes who is is and where he's going - not likely. #2-Successful, in shape men do not fall in love overnight with women their age who the book describes as a few sizes larger than she once was. And that brings up the point about the movie - I think the movie people got it right with Richard Gere, but I did not picture Diane Lane at all - just did not match the books description at all. #3-Was the ending predictable or what. #4-After telling her daughter her story, her daughter turns off the depression and once again becomes a great mom. The whole family had been talking to her for months and now this "I know how you're feeling" story does the trick - again don't see it happening in the real world. As a 40something single woman, I'm all up for a good romance. Although I have had some not so great experiences in the romance dept, I would NOT call myself cynical; Am open minded and somewhat a romantic myself, but I could NOT buy this one-too unrealistic. It was an OK read (I've definitely read worse), it did not do it for me.
