Harlan Coben is amazing!
I have read several of Harlan Coben's novels and his novels are the only ones I will spend my time reading. He is an amazing writer, to say the least. I would recommend any of his novels to anyone who enjoys suspense thrillers with intriguing characters and plot twists galore!
Another Top Notch Mystery from Coben
Thriller writer extraordinaire Harlan Coben's
Gone
for
Good
features the troubles a family endures when one of the members, Ken, is accused of a brutal rape murder of his brother's ex-girlfriend. Family dynamics are intertwined with a great mystery as only Coben can write. Chock full of all of the elements that make for a great mystery and thriller - diabolical bad guys, a labyrinth of a story, romance, hate, and surprises - this is a must read.
Ken's brother Will finds himself embroiled in a "Hitchcockian" plot that soon has the mob, FBI, runaways, violent crimes, and emotion coursing through each page. This is a top notch thrill ride that is worth a 5 star rating.
Enjoy!!! I sure did.

Different from the rest of his books . . . .
I really like Harlan Coben and his books, especially the Myron Bolitar series. But this book is a bit weaker than his other novels. Don't get me wrong, this is still a great read, but it is not as
good
as the others. I found some of the events not very believable and hard to swallow, but kept on reading anyway. He definitely knows how to weave a storyline! Out of all of his books, this is my least favorite, but it still is above most of the authors that I have read.
Loved It
I really enjoyed this book. I had been hooked on Harlan Coben's sports agent series and decided to try this stand alone book. I'm glad I did. I thought there was a lot of depth to the characters. I felt the twists in the books weren't outlandish. They actually made sense. I thought that Mr. Coben did a great job explaining the past, the present and how they all went together. He led you down the path about two characters and then show you how everything isn't always what it seems. I thought it was fast paced enough to keep my attention and didn't take long to read at all. I would highly recommend this stand alone book along with Coben's sports agent series.

Creative, But Dull
This book held my attention, but barely. The plot was complex and very creative, but for some reason, it wasn't compelling. Maybe it was the geography -- Livingston, NJ isn't exactly Hong Kong. Maybe it was the adolescent attitude of the protagonist, who seems to have some issues with authority figures just doing their jobs. Maybe it was the holier-than-though attitude of two characters who assist runaway teens in New York's Hell's Kitchen. I dunno. It was a
good
story, but it just didn't turn me on. It was my first Coben book, so I'll try him again.
