A good read

This is a pretty good crime/mystery type book. The main character is likeable & enderingly flawed. The plot moves along at a fair clip but is not overly complicated or involved.I recommend this novel especially for poolside or beach.

Good story, characters, and all, but too much of the story comes together in the last 20 pages. I liked the book and look forward to reading her future work with these characters.

There is a word for it...

I didn't hate the book, I just didn't care for it. I'm certain that I'll be in the minority because: the story moves along at an acceptable pace, the characters are fairly believable, the story is interesting and the mystery is mysterious.

There is a word I am thinking of, I just can't remember it and I can't find it in a pinch.

The word I was looking for describes a situation where the reader is saturated with word pictures of items if that isn't too confusing. I appreciate interestingly turned phrases. When there is so much of it I keep getting pulled out of the story because you can't go two sentences without bumping into another 'beautifully turned phrase' it is just too much for me.

If that kind of thing doesn't bother you, maybe you've never noticed it before, then I recommend the book to you and I am not being facetious. Maybe run down to B&N and sit and read a chapter so you can see what I mean.
