Wish it could iron my shirts by itself.
Oh well. It can't. Anyway, when my last
iron
didn't survive the header it took
off
the ironing board onto my basement floor, I decided to replace it with
D2030
after reading mostly positive reviews. So far it seems like a good choice. It does an excellent job, and heats up extremely fast. I really can't ask for much more other than I hope it lasts.
Great Deal!
Rowenta
iron
s have always been my favorite until I got tired of spending the extra bucks for an iron. I purchased the
Black
&
Decker
D2030
approximately 6 months ago and I am totally satisfied. It performs just as well as the more expensive irons and it is lighter weight. I would highly recommend purchasing this iron to anyone.

I didn't need to spend more, and I got what I wanted
I'd been prejudiced against
Black
and
Decker
products for a while now, the once-reliable company name has been producing a lot of junky products. I was looking for an
iron
that has some good weight to it, easy to operate, convenient in essential features. So far, this is a great iron. I've had it about a month. It's better than the more-expensive Rowenta, and better than the Proctor Silex I had before (which was too light in weight). The
digital
temperature and on-
off
switch is easy to operate. Standard tap water is fine. Plenty of options for how much steam you get. Don't forget to peel off the plastic film from the temp readout and bottom of the iron before using it for the first time.
I almost did.

Great Iron
Recently I had to purchase a new
iron
. I checked the consumer reports and found the
Black
&
Decker
D2030
listed as one of the best. I continued my research and still found this one listed as one of the good ones. I also checked the reviews...most were good except for comments made about the little latch where the water goes in. Some said it was fragile and broke
off
easily. Well in spite of that comment, I purchased the iron and love it. Many settings and plenty of steam when needed. As far as the latch, yes, I would imagine if you "yank it open" it might break off but as long as you don't force it. It works fine.
Buy the iron. Best I had had in a long time.
