Great for late nights when self-doubt is at it's peak

This book was recommended by my therapist when I was in the black hole of losing my 32 year marriage (he ran away from home) and my younger sister died suddenly.
I keep it by my bed and read it at night when I need comfort.
It gives great, short ideas for taking care of yourself.
It's good for many kinds of lost loves.

Special Book

Everyone should have two copies of this book. One for when you have a loss and one to give to a friend when they have a need. I have personally given away at least 10 copies over the years.

When I suffer a loss, even small ones, I take a bubble bath and read, "How to survive the Loss of a Love".

Healing

I actually found this book on a reduced shelf at a car wash around 1990. . It helped to read, read and re-read it over and over again. Not just read actually, but, absorb the words.. you're not the only one, you WILL get over it, the pain WILL lessen with time.. I used it to work through my mom's death, then, the 'death' of a long term relationship.

My psychologist decades ago, recommended a small book that really helped my depression VERY VERY WELL. It's emotionally empowering in my opinion: "Man's Search For Meaning" by Viktor E. Frankl.. READ them BOTH.
