reading out loud requires commitment...

When Sandra Boynton describes it as a "counting and barking" book, she really means it! My kid loves it, but by the time you get to '6 quiet dogs', you're grateful for the respite.

ArrrrRooof!!!

This book is TOO CUTE FOR WORDS!!! Having Afghan Hounds that own me I love the way the author knew they ROOOO when they sing/bark. It is wonderful to have such a darling book to give to friends with new babies. This is a must have for all Doggie lovers!!!

My Son's Favorite

This book is really fun and it's my son's favorite right now. All of the differend dog sounds are fun. It's a really cute book.

Great Counting Book

My daughter loves counting the dogs and making the various barking noises. Great interactive book.

Hope you can bark and bark and bark.....

We adore the majority of Ms. Boynton's books, but I cringe when my son decides he'd like to hear this one. It is simply barking in different volumes and "languages" and drives ME crazy....and I have 7 dogs!
However, Ms. Boynton knows children and my son enjoys it everytime. He doesn't choose it as often as some of her other books...like Barnyard Dance or the The Going to Bed Book.
