An eternal favorite!

This book reminds us to take our part or take part of the blame for not being included. It's fun, flows so well, and has an unexpected twist at the end.

I bought this book seven years ago, before I even had children. I now read it to all three of my girls, as recently as tonight. I laughed again at the end.

Today we also read "Say Something" by Peggy Moss. I think these books go well together. They both look at social complexities, but Sandra Boynton brings humor that makes it okay to laugh at ourselves while we learn.

Great Book!

This book is a great story for everyone! It is by far my daughter's favortire book. And she is constantly yelling "Not the opo-tot-a-muss", her own attempt at the pronunciation. it teaches the value of not leaving people out in a fun way for kids. This is a good choice for small children, and fun for the parents reading it.

But not the two year old...

My two year old shut the book as I was reading and refused to listen. I found this shocking because Boynton's books are usually a hit with my twins. He did bring it to his sister a day or two later and listened 1/2 through...so maybe the two year old...
