Wonderfully creative and well written

Mark Haddon has created a future classic! This story begins with an autistic boy who sets out on an adventure to find a killer of a neighbor's dog. His autistic thinking catapults the story. The twists and turns in the story all seem to fit and you find you have become easily engaged in the adventure. The author seems to really understand the way an autistic child views the world and I greatly appreciated all the details he added to make the story. It has been one of the better books I have read in while.

amazing book

I think the book "The curious Incident..." is an amazing book which can help a large number of people who have friends or relatives who suffer from the Asperger's Syndrom and have not yet fully understood all the ways of autistic people. The book tells about a 15 year old boy named Christopher Boone who does detective work to find the murderer of his neighbours dog called Wellington.During the story the boy finds out a lot about the problems in his family and reaches out how "normal" people behave. The author describes the feelings and views from an autistic mind which affords you many insights.brillinat read...

The curious dog

Mark Haddon's book "The curious incident of the dog in the Night-Time" is about an autistic young boy, Christopher, who finds a dead dog in the garden and wants to find out who killed the animal. He finds out that his father killed him and what is even worse he lied to him by saying his mother had died although she just left him because of another man. Christopher now escapes from home and wants to go to his mother with the train, but the journey is filled with many problems and the fact that he is autistic makes it even harder.I think the book is very good, because it shows the problems of autistic people like they don't wan to be touched or can't handle human beings in a right way. It shows that it's very difficult to integrate people with such disorders in the community.

the curious incident of the dog in the night-time

A 15 years old authistic goes out to clarify the death of the neighbour's dog. Bit by bit he exploid secrets about his family especially the death of his mother and the dog jiggle more and more to the background of the story. Mark Haddon creates you feeling with the authistic Chriatopher and the other main characters like the farther and the mother, although he writes from the view of Christopher. The story is plausibel telling and I enjoied reading it.

very helpfull novel

The curious incident of the dog in the night-time is a book which is written in an easy language, so that it isn't very hard to understand. I had a lot of fun reading because it is sometimes funny, but also emotinal. The author offered me a look inside an autistic person's mind and made me understand how autistics think and feel and why they do what they do. In my opinion the story could help persons who have to deal with autistics, because Haddon describes the feelings and the behaviour of an autistic very well. The fact that some autistics cannot read facial expressions makes me understand them better. He also points out that being touched makes an autistic feel uncomfortable, confusing and it sometimes even frightens them. All in all I enjoyed reading this book, because it helped me to put myself in the shoes of Christopher Boone. I think everybody who has to live with an autistic person or who only knows one should read this story, because after having finished the novel and having thought about it they might in some situation understand the disordered person.
