Great Reading For Teens

I bought this item for my 8-year-old grandson, who is enthralled by the Harry Potter series. His reading skills are good, but he shares the moment with his father who is a neuro-scientist. Their reading together is a bonding experience.

Harry Potter textbooks awesome!

If, like me, you have been in the dumps a bit since finishing the 7th HP book then here is a little remedy. JK Rowling takes us a little deeper into Harry's world through these fun little gems. I have been reading "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" with my 8- and 6-year-old sons and we are having a great time. Here you will find more detail on many of the creatures, small and large, friendly and terrifying, that were mentioned in each of the books. It is even more fun to read with "hand-written" comments from Harry, Ron and even Hermione found inside. I can't wait to finish it and move on to "Quidditch Through the Ages" with my boys!!

A funny and entertaining read

This was written by my 8-year-old daughter who is a big Harry Potter fan:

Both "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" and "Quidditch Through the Ages" are fascinating and interesting reads for young and old alike. They both contain endless information on the history of Quidditch and beasts of all kinds.

"Magical Beasts and Where to Find Them" is my favorite, though "Quidditch Through the Ages" is also a pleasure. All beasts are listed with their MOM (Ministry of Magic) Classification. Harry and Ron have scribbled all over the textbook which makes it only more fun to read. One of my favorite doodles is Norwegian Ridgeback changed to Baby Norbert, Hagrid's pet. I highly recommend this book, not for school though it is a textbook, but for fun.

"Quidditch Through the Ages" seems to be a very popular book among Quidditch players, as we can tell from the list of borrowers including Oliver Wood, Cedric Diggory, Marcus Flint, and of course Harry Potter. This book explains how Quidditch evolved through the years with much detail. It even contains a few writings of the witch Gertie Keddle who obviously thought that Quidditch was pointless. It also tells about the evolution of the flying broomstick and many different broom games. Creaothceann was definitely dangerous though enjoyable to read about.

As Albus Dumbledore himself says, part of the profit from the retail sales of these books will go to Comic Relief UK! You have another good reason to get these wonderful books. If you're a big fan of Harry Potter, these books are a definite must for you.

Cool HP and on, worth buying for any true fan

This is a two book series from JK Rowling that was written to help raise money for UK's Comic Relief. Its a great read for any Harry Potter fan looking to enter the world once again. It's written with good humor and is fun for all ages.

A must for Harry Potter Fans!

My son received these for Christmas and read them in less than a day! They are delightful. One of the books (the one about monsters) is a text supposedly actually used by Harry, complete with his handwritten notes. They are charming as well as being a quick read.
