If you resurrect dinosaurs, use fully original product.

Crichton takes an idea based on Robert Bakker's research and theories on warm blooded, quicker dinosaurs and builds a novel around it.

He does a fine job too on the story of an entrepreneur wanting to make a theme park with real live dinosaurs.

A party of scientist experts are invited to look over the facilities on the small island he is using, and because this is a thriller, things get chaotic.

Some fine dinosaur work, and may get some people interested in actual palaeontology.

Great book. Alot better then the movie.

This book really blew me away when I read it in high school. I have always been a true die-hard fan of dinosaur type books, movies and games. Naturally, as a teenager, I watched the movie first, though it was great. Then, I read the book. It's absolutely ridiculous how much stuff they left out from the book. For example, the secret door in the water fall is not in the movie, it's in the book. And, the best part of all, the raft and the river part is not in the movie as well.

To sum it up, read the book, then watch the movie if you really want too. Book is a million times better then the movie.

Wow!!!

This book is a keeper. Its plot keeps you awake throughout your reading. The fusion of science and fiction was brilliant! The pace of the story was right on the button. It is worth every penny.

Jurassic Park Review

What would it be like if we could go back millions of years and bring live dinosaurs to earth in 2008? What a fascinating experience that would be!

In Jurassic Park, Michael Crichton does exactly that! In this scientific thriller, Crichton uses intense moments and complicated science just like he did in another best seller, The Andromeda Stain.

The plot involves a company named InGen that owns an island of the coast of Costa Rica. John Hammond, who works for InGen, wants to turn the island into a zoo/amusement park of mysterious creatures for tourists to visit. Dr. Grant, a paleontologist who works in Montana to dig up dinosaur bones and eggs, goes to the island and uses dinosaur bones to collect DNA and creates many different species of dinosaurs. But when a team of InGen's board of directors send a team of observers to inspect the park and make sure it is safe, everything goes unimaginably wrong. As you read the book it gets very exciting and interesting when you follow the many characters that are on the island.

This is an amazing science fiction book that would be best suited for people over the age of thirteen. The complicated science terms held me back when I was reading this book. If you like action-packed thrillers, this book is made for you!
