Captivating for my toddler, enjoyable for me to read!

My 13 month old daughter loves books and she usually prefers more interactive ones with flaps, feel-real stuff or music. But Chugga-Chugga Choo-Choo is so captivating with its rhymes, colors and pictures, that it tops her list! The illustrations are so detailed and well done that I dont just read the text, but also point out the various things to her on the pages and she loves that. We usually read 4-5 different books before bedtime/naptime, but this one we read at the beginning, in between and finally in the end. She never tires of it unlike her other books.

I love reading it to her because it is literally fun to read it aloud with lots of expression. Sentences are short and rhyme well (unlike forced rhymes in many childrens books). The story flows very well. Kevin Lewis has done an outstanding job at depicting a boy's imagination in this book. Wish there were more books like this one!

Great Sounds

My one year old loves this book. He imitates all of the sounds. The sing-songy text keeps any child's attention. We both love reading it.

Great book, my boys love it!!!

I have two boys, 4 and 2, and they both love this book. This is one of the books they pick almost every night to read before bed. The words flow and it is fun to read. The boys love making the train sounds!

Best Train Book Ever

I bought this book for my train loving 2 year old son. He loved this book from the moment it arrived. He is almost 3 now and has it memorized. My 16 month old son has fallen in love with it too. The story flows like the lyrics of a song. I actually have sung the book to my boys. It is illustrated beautifully. If your kids like trains, you have to get this book!

Great for Train Lovers

This is one of my son's favorite books. Full of brightly colored illustrations and simple dialogue, this book is a must-have for train-loving children. My son requests it repeatedly and enjoys studying the pages for details he may have missed the last time we read it together. I would reccomend it to anyone with a train-obsessed tot, however it is a charming book regardless of your child's favorite things!
