The best book ever!

For me being into really girly type of books like Romaces and teen issues, this book was a risk for me. At first when i read it the book didnt seem very intresting. I mean a boy named Cosmo Hill was found all by himself on Cosmonaunt Hill and was named after it. Plus, He was in an orphanage that was like a testing institute for people that have nothing else to live for. Then when he met Ditto, Stephen, and Mona everything became more interesting. For example, he started fighting things that are sucking the life out of people. Then, finding out that these things only show themselves to almost dead humans to where they cant talk about what they saw. Finally, he is with a really serious person who wants to stop these things, a girl who is into cars and knows everyone, and a Bartolli baby, a person who was used in his fathers experiment and became very small. This book has so much intensity and fun at the same time. This is the best book EVER!

The Supernaturalists

This is a great book for kids in 4th to 7th grade. It is full of action and exiting plot twists. I highly recommend this book to those of you who like books that take place in the future. However I do not reccomend this book to kids in 3rd grade or lower unless you have the patience to read and reading skills needed for a long book. I hope that you can enjoy this book as much as I did.

Done it again!

Eoin Colfer has done it again. This book is as good as his AF series. It is action packed... but it was so good, it left me wanting more. I wish there was a sequal. :)

The Supernaturalist

The Supernaturalist by Eoin Colfer is about the breath-taking events that a fourteen-year-old boy goes through. In corporate-run Satellite City, Cosmo Hill longs to escape from Clarissa Frayn Institute for parentally challenged boys, where they are tested with lethal drugs. On one sweaty day, a rare opportunity reaches him, so he seizes it but almost dies. As he lies there, crippled on a deserted alleyway, he feels his life force ebbing away as blue creatures called Parasites suck the life out of him. With the help of a unique gang, Cosmo manages to survive. He later becomes a part of the crew because of his special ability to see the Parasites like the rest. Each of the original members has their own motives, and the thing they risked their lives for so many times is not what it seems to be. Eventually, the group discovers their mistakes, but a large corporation, Myishi, has also noticed the activities going on. The Supernaturalists soon find themselves figuring out a problem far more complicated than they've ever faced.
This science fiction book reminded me that nothing is impossible. Friendship, courage, and suffering will leave you with a deeper meaning once you finish this book. It might also be a warning to us humans of what the future could be like 80 years from now. This book is like the North Star; it, among millions, shines brighter than the rest, but you just have to see it.

Interesting but no Artemis

I liked this book, it was a good change of pace from his Artemis series. It takes place in the future city above the ground. You follow Cosmo through his haunting days as an orphan, to his vigilante days, to his new understanding of the world around him. The stories of the characters are all there and you get enough detail to keep you satisfied for such a short book. If you like Colfer then pick this one up.
