Awesome Resource!!

From plans to links to advice on each step, this book serves as a great companion to the website. Also included is a CD that takes you even further with examples, shareware programs and such. If you're even remotely intrigued with the idea of making your own arcade machine, then this is the book for you. Be forewarned - once you start reading, you may find yourself hooked on this hobby.

What a great book

I have been paging through this book over and over. I wish I had this book when I was working on my project. All the illustrations are available on the CD in full size. Appendix B has a very good insight on an issue that is in this hobby.

This hobby is changing so fast that it is hard to keep up the new products and ideas. The book and its accompaning websites help point you in the right direction of the latest products and ideas to help make your project better and unique.

Get this before starting...wish i had

Ok...let me start off by saying how fantastic this book is! It's written in a funny, technical, yet really easy to understand way. The chapter that proved invaluable for me was "Chapter 15 - Buttoning Up the Odds and Ends". In this chapter 'Saint' covers the delicate and frustrating job of working with acrylic. If only I had picked up this book before starting, I wouldn't have cracked my first (and really expensive) acrylic sheet.

Everything I ever needed to know I learned from this book

Well at least everything I ever needed to know about building an Arcade machine. This book is a MUST have for the novice to expert builder. It covers everything from how to decide what to build, to how to put it all together. I find myself re-reading chapters even on sections that I have already completed on my cabinet, just to see if there was something I missed or something I could have done better. What a great resource for anyone who grew up playing arcade games and wanted one of their very own. I highly recommend this to everyone.
