Great starter book for young coin collectors

This is a great little book for young coin collectors, especially those who are just getting started. It has very sturdy thick "pages" to hold your special coins. It has a place for all 50 statehood quarters, a place for your birth year coins and a place for special coins, like the Indian head cent, the Buffalo nickel, the Mercury dime, the Liberty standing quarter, the Peace dollar and more. It also gives a lot of interesting information about coins like how coins are made, the parts of a U.S. coin, how to grade coins, minting mistakes, fascinating coin facts and even more. My 7 year old daughter has just become interested in coin collecting and this is the first book we bought for her (for Christmas). I think it's going to be a great way to encourage her in her new hobby. I really can't think of anything bad to say about the book. I would buy it again and I would definitely recommend it. I just wish he'd write a book like this on international coins!

Great Fun for Kids and Parents

I got 2 of these books - one for my 7-year old and one for my 5-year old. They both have enjoyed looking through coins and finding their place in the book, especially the state coins. My 7-year old is more interested in the fun facts contained within the pages, but it's a great on-going project we can pull out anytime. I plan on giving more of these books as gifts to friends' kids.

This coin book is excellant. My son received this as a gift years ago. We just found it mixed in with all our books. He is 7 now and is totally into collecting and putting the coins in the book. My 4 year old daughter wanted to do the same. We looked everywhere in stores and were told by numerous big chain stores that they no longer carry the item. I found it on Amazon.com and was thrilled. We ordered it and now both kids can collect. The book is awesome.

Great starter book

Both my kids and husband enjoyed this book. It's a great way to collect not only state quarters, but other coins as well. All the coins are easily obtainable without a trip to the coin collector shop. It's a great way to get anyone into collecting.
