New Ways of Thinking

Don't be fooled by the title -- Chet Holmes has come up with some exciting ways to deal with business, not only in the sales arena but throughout the management structure. Take, for instance, his first issue -- time management. Chet's approach helps managers move from that "got a minute" form of management to a structured approach which not only frees up time, but makes it much more likely that the best ideas will actually get executed. It was worth reading just for this first section.

If you're just looking for a quick read -- this is probably not it. Chet has packed it full of ideas and it will take some focus to really take advantage of everything that's here.

Incredible book

Chet Holmes gives some incredible gems on how to influence people based on market data and a "stadium pitch". If you want to increase your sales or help your sales force, this book is a "must have". If you don't like feeling like a salesman but your job requires that you sell, then this is the book for you.

Wow! Every Page Has An "AHA" On It.

Here's the deal.

Received Chet's book on December 20th, 2007 and I'm on the second reading.

So far, I've filled the margins on almost every page and have written "Aha's" on 17 large note cards (front & back) and with "Action" items.

Ordered 12 items from various ad specialty companies.

Realized who 65 of my 100 future clients will be.

Got a 2008 marketing calendar created and will launch it on February 1st.

Put nonnegotiable dates on my calendar for sales and marketing training that are more continuous.

I can't remember the last book that got me whipped into this much focused action so fast.

Chet has taken his umpteen years of successful experience and distilled them into 250 pages of concrete focused ideas that anyone can get moving on.
