Some of the all around best material I've ever read!

These books offer a good look into the world of a Colonist in Williamsberg, from the very first signs of conflict, to the beginnings of the Revolution, as seen through the eyes of an impatient, independant nine year old named Felicity. You will surly love these amazingly accurate stories of the adventures of Lissie and her friends as I did, and, if you are this kind of reader, may even become as familiar, and, dare I say, close to the charactres. These funny, exciting, accurate, and all around delightfull books will certainly become favorites on your book shelf!

Outstanding, educational, heartwarming books for young girls

These books are an excellent educational tool to show young girls (ages 6 to 12) what their life would have been like if they had lived during colonial times, during the revolutionary war, and during the birth of our nation. The books are well researched and are historically accurate. Girls will learn what colonial children did for fun, what their chores were, what their education was like, and what the social customs were at the time. The main character, Felicity, is headstrong, but also kind and loving. She reminds me a little of the stories I've heard of Martha Washington. I would recommend these books for young girls today - they don't receive enough of a history education in school these days. You might find yourself, as we did, on your way to visit Williamsburg, VA to "see where Felicity lived!!"

Valerie Tripp books are the best !!!

I think Valerie Tripp books are full of fun my favorite series is Samantha from 1904. I rate it from 1 to 10 i would give Valerie Tripp's books a 10 because the are books EVERYBODY can love. I have a sister who is 6 and enjoys Valerie Tripp books. VALERIE TRIPP IS THE BEST WRITER!!!!
