Great Read... Excellent Writing Style

My wife gave me this book and I read the entire thing last night! I could not put it down because of the sense of humor expressed in the author's excellent writing style. As a white collar worker today and a former ice cream scooper in the past it reminds of those simple days scooping the scream and offering over 5,000 taste tests.

Don't Quit Before Reading This Book!

For anyone who has ever thought of chucking it all and cutting ties to the white collar world...read this book first. Great read.

You Are There

I could NOT put this book down. This book is a (ice) scream! Reading this, I felt like I was there- reliving every single mind-numbing nano-second of "torture" Mr. Alexander went through on his path of discoveries with minimum wage jobs.
I am so glad to be there in vicarious spirit and laughter through reading, rather than facing the 5,000 pinks (or some other equal task).
Don't stop writing - I want more....

Great read, I couldn't put it down!

I was especially interested in this book because of chucking the corporate stint myself and going out on my own. I laughed a lot reading this one. Not necessarily where others will laugh, but that's me. Like: "Smells are particulate in nature".
I will be watching for any other books by this author!

Hope This Is The First Of Many Books By Mr Alexander

This book grabs the readers interest from the first page. It was hard to put it down. I found the progression from "burnout" to excitment about a new direction using his experience in advertising particularly interesting.
The cowboy chapter with its sincere comments on the Morman vacationers concluded his exploration of minimun pay jobs on an upbeat note.
This book should be in every home that has teen-agers.
