Horror, mystery and a good doses of weird eroticism!

This film must be scrutinized in the light of being Tony Scott a famed and renowned director of spot lights and subtle commercials at that moment. Additionally the figure of the vampire is refreshed and renovated with the presence of the feminine vision. Sarandon and Deneuve are in very good shape and Bowie gives another of his outrageous and perverse performances; after his standout performance in "The man who fell to earth" and "Furyo."

So think about all those factors at the moment you bet for watch it. It's extremely important. To my mind, this is one of the hottest cult movies of the eighties.

Vampiers but different

this movie is a must too see., its not made for the kids but its a great movie for the adults, my advice if you dont have it get it add it too you collection. a great movie and a twist of a movie. and it even has David Bowie in it guys. go and get this movie a move to buy. tks

I have been looking for this vampire movie for awhile. I love this movie and am glad I found it.

My husband has been looking for this DVD for a while locally but was unable to find it. He loved it and watched it Christmas Day.

Very Moody

Based on Whitley Strieber's book of the same name this moody 1983 film is said by some to have started the Gothic subculture and the reason why many underground vampire role players wear ankhs.

Though a bit slow in some parts it always keeps your attention. Singer David Bowie does a good job of playing the part of the not so ageless vampire lover to Catherine Deneuve. The makeup and his acting really makes him seem like an old man.

One warning though, DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE IF YOUR DEPRESSED! Wait for one of the (rare?) times when your too happy and need a little air taken out of your balloon.
