Excellent Green choice

My yard has about 2000 sqft of lawn. It takes 30 mins to mow it with this reel mower. This mower is very light and performs very well. I do not miss my gas powered mower at all.

MUCH easier to push than a gas mower!

I bought this mower because eveything I had read said that the extra wheels in back made it easier to push. Having never, pushed anything other than gas powered mowers in the past, I have no way to verify this. All I can verify is that this is the EASIEST, lightest mower I've ever used. We moved to a manufactured home park and I just couldn't justify a gas mower on such a small lot. Now I tell EVERYONE how much I love my mower. Even if I had a bigger yard, this is so much better than the gas mowers. It does'nt "scalp" the lawn so my yard stayed greener than my neighbors. It's so quiet. I work a variety of hours, so I can mow my lawn late or early, and my neighbors can't hear me. It's so much safer to use around kids, pets, etc. (The blades are only going around when you push. You stop, so do the blades.) There's no gas/oil smell on you and your clothes. It's free to run so it's great on the wallet! We gave away our old gas mower to a neighbor. One day it wasn't working right so we let her borrow our push mower. She was so shocked at the difference! She bought one for herself a few weeks later. I would say the only drawbacks (If you could call them that) is that you'll meet a LOT of your neighbors if they SEE you out mowing (again, they won't hear it unless they're next to it). Everyone seems so curious and we get a lot of people who want to try it out. The other "drawback", you will find yourself mowing a bit more often than you do with a gas mower. The only thing I can think of for this, is because the grass does'nt have to do as much recovery after a mowing. The grass stays greener, but because of the faster growth, you don't want to "let it go" or you'll have a "jungle" to mow. Then it gets harder to push (it will push like a gas mower). You'll only do this once because you won't know how "spoiled" you were before this (from my own personal experience). This is such a great product for those of us who like to garden, but don't like to work.
