A classic

This is a classic children's book that has been around for a long time. All eric Carle books have the best illistrations that not only kids like to look at but they are beutiful at any age. This book is short and easy to read for short attention spans, which is every kid, perfect for a bedtime story...

A must have for every child

My daughter absolutely loves this book. She always grabs it and then grabs me to come read it to her, repeating "ba ba [brown bear]."

Great book!

This was my son's favorite book! We would read it to him over and over and he still wanted more! He liked the sing-song rhyming and even wanted to join in after a while! I would definitely recommend this book to someone with young children!

Bill Martin, Jr. was an amazing author and creator of children's reading books

Bill Martin, Jr. was an educator, author, and lover of good writing for children. Besides Brown Bear and other similar titles, he also was the editor of the Holt, Rinehart, Winston reading series "Sounds of Language". If you can find any of these old textbooks, I highly recommend them for children. I was fortunate enough to attend a 3 day workshop that Bill put on for teachers in 1973, and it was a great experience.

Love this book!

My 2.5 son loves this book - he received it for Christmas and we have read it several times each day since!! Very good purchase!
