Great Reference for Guitarists

First off: excellently selected chords. The guy shows you exactly which chord shapes and fret positions they are using in each song. The Beatles sometimes used the same chord (ex:D) played in open and barre position within the same song. Makes a difference.

Second: ALL songs in the correct key! Fire up the cd player and play along! If they tuned a semi- or full tone lower, you'll know with this book. Really fun for skipping around from song to song. Much better than so much of the free stuff on the Net!

Third: all lyrics are there.

I wish there were books this great 40 years ago when I began picking!

A simple book with no tab but still a great reference. The Beatles employed many cool styles ... you'll get your rhythm chops down well with this one. Plus you'll be learning some of the best popular music ever written. Timeless tunes. Higly recommended song book at a bargain price. Nab it now and keep it for life.

The Beatle Fan

I've loved the beatles since the first time I heard them over my step fathers tapes. So I went searching on ebay, in different stores, and then someone told me about amazon and thats where I found this purfect book. Since I love playing guitar this book has made it more fun, because I get to learn songs from people I've never met but would love to meet one day. The beatles are inspiring and just filled with life even though the beatles are no longer a complete set like they used to be. Now I play the beatles songs and have fun doing it. I've even shocked my step father who learned guitar way before me on how well and how quickly I've learned the songs. This book was amazing and I will defintly keep it for a long time and continue to enjoy it.

Simple, accurate, great.

This is a great book:
- It has great songs (even not written by the Beatles)
- It has diagrams for all chords
- It simply got it right. Sounds much better than I anticipated.

So-so format

Do not buy this book unless you just want to read the lyrics. This has all the songs, mostly in order, and mostly more or less what you hear on the records, so that's good. However, the book itself is too small, does not open flat or want to stay on a music stand. No problem if you don't mind breaking the binding. It needs a spiral binder to really make it useful. Not a bad book, just not as good as it could have been. Are the publishers paying attention to this?
