The best Calculator ever for people who can master it..

Have you ever seen anyone who owns one of this units to switch to something else. I am buying this one as a spare. My last one is still working after 21 years.

Few weeks of use and I already like this calculator a lot. I came from a non-RPN mode calculator, but actually like RPN. It think this is because I have Computer Science background. I can see why some users dislike this feature. I think the manual is required reading for any MBA/CFA/CPA, or anyone who own or handles significant money for their company/self.
The manual is excellent although a bit verbose because it refers to unary and binary operators as "one number function" and "two number functions". Also it refers to "pop" operation as "stack lift". In any case read it, its very useful!
The Schweser company strongly recommends the TI BAII Plus. Not sure why, because TI calculator need an awful lot of key strokes. Also the TA makes an assumption that the compounding monthly-- that's only true for simple mortgage or bond problems. The only annoyance I found with 12c, is that it rounds up (ceiling) for the value of N. You will have to learn to work around that.

The very best business calculator

Bought my first one of these in 1978, and they have only gotten better. I only replaced it because the keyboard has been used so much in 30 years that the case is looking a bit funky....mostly because of leaving it out uncovered in the tropical climate here in Hawaii. The capabilities are beyond my wildest expectations....and abilities. Mortage amortization is a snap, and I've even done discounted internal rates of return. If you don't know how to enter the problem the instructions will lead you through it. You can even set up multi-step programs to run your number crunching. The older ones used RPN which some find cumbersome 1-enter-1-+, but the new models can also use standard entry...1+1=2. Probably the last one I'll ever need to buy.

HP12C

This new one replaces the HP 12C that I purchased 25 years. That one still works; I have two homes and needed one at each. My HP 12C is like an old friend. I don't know how I could have made it in business without it.
