The demonstrations and experiments are listed in detail below (see Topics Covered). Many of these are standard visual illusions illustrated in textbooks, but with a difference. Because PsyCog's presentation is interactive, students can run experiments with themselves and their friends as subjects. Even for those illusions for which this approach does not work, students can adjust many parameters to determine which result in the strongest effect.
