A new Classic!

Over the past 30 years, I have acquired quite a few
classic books in the field of electronics, such as
Gray and Meyer, Sedra and Smith, Streetman, etc.
In the area of switchers, this is a classic that every
Engineer working with switchers should have on
his bookshelf! This guy is the Bob Pease of switchers.
After you have read one of the ordinary books on
Switchers, get this one for all the subtle
and second order effects that other books
don't have.

Great book - lots of new ideas

This is an outstanding book. I especially like the organization of formulas into tables as well as the nicely drawn and logical diagrams. Chapter 16 has some clever new circuits that I've not seen before. I was especially intrigued by the floating buck regulator - very cool.

I kept buying books on switchers. Most of them were dissapointments. This book is an exception. I'll be on the look out for other titles from this author!

A jewel of book

I find the contents of this book totaly profitable. The topics are well covered and well organized. This book should be in the desk of any power engineer.
The equations are totaly comprensible and well clasified in tables. The non continous conduction mode are well explained.
I recommend highly this book
