Glory
St. Clair loves soaking up Hollywood's vampire nightlife with her sexy Scottish lover, Jeremiah. Especially when she meets a vampire/ diet guru who promises to give her the body she's wanted for centuries. One problem: his clan and Jeremiah's are ancient enemies. But Glory's not about to let a stupid family feud come between her and slender bliss. Yet, she can't help but wonder...how much is she willing to risk for her hips? And how much (and precisely what) is she willing to lose?
She's baaack! (Spoilers Likely)
I've been waiting so long for this
book
to come out and for the most part it didn't disappoint! So
real
ly it's like 4.75 stars! We get a lot of insight to how
Glory
thinks and the things that are important to her in this installment.
Although I really like Jerry and Glory together, (and the sizzling hot lovin'!) I was glad that there was time spent with Ray. It helped me better understand Glory's feelings about Jerry. (Sometimes you have to wonder, right?) I also really liked how the author explored the idea of Glory loosing weight. It's been an issue for her throughout the series and I loved how it turned out.
The only thing that was sort of a disappointment (but not completely because I'm kind of excited to see what happens...) was the addition of another man falling for Glory. Really, how many men does she need after her at one time? And it seems that she develops feelings for each one! Oh well. Fortunately the next book will be out this year so the wait isn't as long as it could be... I can't wait!

LOVED IT
exciting and fun. I loved all five in this series, this one had a very interesting ending that makes you want the next one now. I thought it was time for
glory
to part ways with blade for a while to see what or who else would happen. I am excited to read the next one.
Rollicking Good Vamp Tale
Glory
St. Clair is a centuries old vampire who is stuck in her voluptuous body that was popular in the 17th century. Even though her maker and on/off again lover Jeremy Blade adores her as she is, Glory wants to be a modern, thin vampire. She's got even more motivation because she's soon to attend the grammys with her pretend fiancé, Rock Star and secret vampire, Ray Caine. When she meets a vampire offering a new cure that will make her slim, Glory is determined to get it, regardless of the cost. But it's not only cash and side-effects that are at stake. This fifth installment of the
Real
Vampires
series is laugh out loud funny and sometimes poignant as Glory yearns for the chance to be Hollywood's skinny idea of beauty.

Not quite as "glorious" as the first
This is another typical
book
in the
Glory
St. Clair series, which I enjoy. But Glory is still wishy, washy and self destructive in her disappointment in her appearance despite the fact that almost every hottie hunk in the series lusts for her curvy body. At this point, I kind of hoped for a little more enlightenment, but Glory's a slow learner. Heck, its only been 400 years for her and with the effect she apparently has on men, you'd think she be a tad more confident despite tabloids, but w

ver. I do enjoy this series, but I'm ready for it to go somewhere and this book seemed a bit flat and took me longer than it normal to finish.
That being said, I think this book shows there is still the possibility of enlightenment. I'm rather tired of her relationship with Jerry. It never rung true for me, but that is mostly, because I can't find a guy that treats a woman like a weak thing that need coddling as a drool worthy hunk. It will be interesting to see how Gerry Bartlett resolves this issue, since it is a pretty glaring one.
Spoiler Alert (I will be vague but make no promises)
It takes until the end of this book for Glory to understand why she has been as off with Jeremiah as much as she has been on with him for the last 400 years. These revelations make you question why she lets her "passions" run away from her so often that it has taken her so long to
real
ize these things. It also makes you wonder if there is even a possibility for Jerry and Glory to end happily ever after, and personally, I hope they don't. However, Jerry has hopelessly adored her for over 400 years. If they don't end up together, in some ways it would be tragic, because that is a long time to be so hopeless for someone.
Personally, I loved Rafe in this. He seems to also have genuine interest in Glory, but since Jerry has been so big as the love interest in the series for so long, I have a hard time seeing it actually go there. But I can hope. I love how he is protective without domineering. He seems to understand and appreciate her at a more fundamental level.

I was disappointed
I was
real
ly disappointed in this installment of the
Glory
St. Clair series. I could barely finish this trite treatment of Glory; she deserves better! I mean really, would you continue with a product just to lose weight even in the light of personal knowledge that it is harmful to you? Glory is smarter than that.
