Originally published in 1987 as Black Market, also by James Patterson.A good read, a current interest for 2008 This book was 1st copyrighted in 1986, but now in 2008 it is even more believable as we see the government giving 700 billion dollars to Wall Street over the objections of the voting public (October 4, 2008, a day of infamy). We see now that the premise in this book of a secret government is not total fantasy. I found the story entertaining and and easy read. Most of the complaints against this book seem to be from fans of Patterson who feel he stepped out of his normal formula. Well, I'm not a regular reader of Patterson, so I was just looking for an entertaining read and I found that as well as an insightful reminder that Wall Street rules America.
