The New York Times bestselling author of Dark
fever
and Bloodfever returns to Dublin?s Fae-infested shores in a bold, sensual new novel. Hurtling us into a realm of seduction and shadows, Karen Marie Moning tells the enthralling tale of a woman who explores the limits of her mysterious powers as she enters a world of ancient sorcery?and confronts an enemy more insidious than she could ever have imagined.
He calls me his Queen of the Night. I?d die for him. I?d kill for him, too. When MacKayla Lane receives a torn page from her dead sister?s journal, she is stunned by Alina?s desperate words. And now MacKayla knows that her sister?s killer is close. But evil is closer. And suddenly the sidhe-seer is on the hunt: For answers. For revenge. And for an ancient
book
of dark magic so evil, it corrupts anyone who touches it.
Mac?s quest for the Sinsar Dubh takes her into the mean, shape-shifting streets of Dublin, with a suspicious cop on her tail. Forced into a dangerous triangle of alliance with V?lane, an insatiable Fae prince of lethally erotic tastes, and Jericho Barrons, a man of primal desires and untold secrets, Mac is soon locked in a battle for her body, mind, and soul.
As All Hallows? Eve approaches and the city descends into chaos, as a shocking truth about the Dark Book is uncovered, not even Mac can prevent a deadly race of immortals from shattering the walls between worlds?with devastating consequences.?

FAEFEVER
THE CONTINUING STORY OF MAC IS JUST FANTASTIC BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM kAREN SHE IS JUST THE BEST. THE STORY HAS ME COMPLETLEY HOOKED AND WAITING ON TENDER HOOKS FOR THE NEXT INSTALMENT.
LOVE THIS
BOOK
AND ALL OR KAREN MARIE MONINGS'S ADVENTURES.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This
book
being the 3rd in the series leaves you wanting the next worse than the rest. This series is the best in a long time. It always leaves you wondering. There are 2 more after this one that I know of and I absolutely can't wait.
I loved it but....
Okay I read all three
book
s in the series over this past week (which isn't saying much because the first two books were VERY short). I have to say I really enjoyed the books especially Fae
fever
which is why I'm giving it 5 stars. All three books are in first person which takes some time to get use to but I really think this enables us to get into Mac's head. Like a lot of the other reviewers I agree not much happens in the books, Moning focuses more on developing the character and less on plot. I like that we get to know Mac so well but at the same time ther were many moments I kind of felt like I was wasting my time on a book where nothing was happening. I noticed on Moning's website she plans on writing two other books in the series, I hope she stops at that. I have a feeling that if this becomes an ongoing series she'll keeping on stringing us along with more books in which not much happens. The end did also piss me off like a lot of otherse. I do think it was really cruel to leave us wanting more.
Now the good stuff. This is not your typical book. Too many times in romance novels or any book in general where the female is the heroine, I get disappointed because I feel that the writer chooses to not let anything bad happen and this always inevitably pisses me off. It's hard to truly invest yourself in a book if you know everything will turn out rosy. In this book bad things happen people die. There are some truly gritty moments in the book, that remind us of the reality of Mac's life. She lives in a dangerous world now. Yet she still remains a strong, likeable, spunky, smart heroine. I love the dynamic between Mac and Barrons, I can't wait to see where this is going to go. I'm happy that Moning doesn't go out of her way to soften his edges. It makes the little things he does like getting breakfast for Mac, all the greater. I look forward to the next two books and hope we don't have to wait too long!

SC Avid Reader--Hangin Here, but ...
Great series, but I wish it was done in the "Highlander" series way where each story ended with each
book
. Now I have to wait for Book 4!!! I guess I'll just reread the past three books again waiting for the fourth.
Thanks, Karen, for the wonderful entertainment in a very dark real world. Love the characters.
Waited on pins and needles for this one....
Geez, a whole year between such small
book
s! The first two most certainly delivered the goods with action and suspense. This one...not so much. The beginning dragged unmercifully since the author spent about 60-70 pages just explaining what came before. Who all the characters were, what they were doing, etc. By the time she got past this, I was becoming aggravated. I can appreciate a few heads up, but don't retell the whole darn story to me. The rest of the story consisted of her researching information on the history of the Tiantha de. Snore!
On the bright side we got to read about a jealous Barron and a more human V'Lane (or least he was trying to pass himself off as more human). More guys fawned at Mac and called her beautiful. Yea, whatever! We get it...now move on.
Overall, it was a disappointment, especially since the previous two were great. I'm still looking forward to the next, especially since Moning went and did the unthinkable and left this one as a cliffhanger. (Not Cool, Moning--I've left previous series for much the same reason). Hopefully, this will not be a reoccurring problem.
