GREAT COMPILATION!

This is one of the few text books that will remain a permanent part of my library. A wonderfully concise compilation of American Literature. From beginning of the United States to the modern writers of importance. Speaking Of modern fiction writers do check out Misfits Country.

interesting authors are highlighted in this book. The editor should have included more authors of different backgrounds, races, religions, etc.

Title

A good book, but HEAVY, and the binding breaks easily if you have to carry it around.
