When Thelma and Wayne Owens are found murdered in the warehouse where they held their church services, their son-in-law Jonathan is arrested for the crime--but his wife Morgan and her sister Blair, Thelma and Wayne?s daughters, are confident that he didn?t do it and set out to find the real killer.
Marvelous Reading-Cape Refuge
I enjoyed this book so much and will read the rest of Terri Blackstock's books just to see if they are all this good.
A Page-Turner
Being the first "christian fiction" book I read, I was pleasantly surprised how well I liked this whole series. It had quite a bit more religeous scripture than I would've liked, but the characters were well developed, and the plot was fantastic. I usually can guess the killer right off the top, but this one took me almost to the end to figure it out. I spent two sleepless nights finishing the whole series, and have subsequently bought more of her novels. A word of advice...... don't read this one if you don't have the rest of the series readily available, because you won't be able to put it down!

Non-Stop Reading!
Once I began to read this book I could not stop! The end was full of suspenese! I had chills and goosebumps as I was reading the last few chapters. This is a great Christian murder mystery that will have you wanting more. Good thing there are three other books in the series.
Mysteries to make you think
How can God be good if he allows something terrible to happen to good people? This is a question that was asked, but not fully answered in this mystery novel by Terri Blackstock. It is an unanswerable question, really.
I did enjoy this novel. It was quick to read, and parts were extremely suspenseful. However, the police officer, Cade, although likable seemed to be a bit slow on the uptake. I came to the conclusion that it would be extremely easy for anyone to be framed for commiting any kind of a crime in his town because he didn't seem to look far below the surface.
The book reminded me of a "Jessica Fletcher" kind of mystery with similar kinds of characters among the suspects and police officers. It had a Christian/spiritual aspect that was quite interesting, particularly when you saw how one character's prayers when things seemed hopeless seemed to turn the tide.
I'd like to read the remaining books in this series.
