The 360-Degree Leader Workbook

This is one of the best and most practical books that I've every read on leadership. It one of only a handful of books on leading up (your boss) and leading across (fellow employees). Most books are on leading down (those who report to the boss), but only a very small portion of any organization is in that position.

Leadership skills are needed at every level of the organisation

I read the book "The 360 Degree Leader - Workbook" at a time when I was promoted to an Executive level of a company. One of my assignments included implementing change in the company. There was resistance from so many levels within the organisation. The change included implementing strategic projects and changing the culture of the organisation. This booked helped me to realise how to be more effective in getting buy-in from all levels within the organisation - the Managing Director, co-Executives, Managers, and other staff members. The workbook asked some practical questions which made me realise better ways of dealing with the challenges that I faced. Excellent Books

I don't know any other work that covers the topics of leading your boss and peers. These are vital skills for all managers and this book does an excellent job of teaching you how to lead in these situations. I have bought it for employees and collegues.

Good perspective on leadership that anyone can implement

No matter where you are in an organization, you can benefit from this book by Dr. John Maxwell. I'm not a huge fan of his, but this book has helpful information that has tips for the CEO as well as the entry-level professional. I will be using it in a Christian Leadership class I teach this semester & I expect the class to get a lot out of it.
