Boynton is back! Joining Barnyard Dance! and Birthday Monsters!, here is Hey!
Wake
Up! a good-morning book with the irrepressible language, the inimitable illustrations, the irresistible cast of characters only Sandra Boynton could create.
Yawn.
Stretch.
Touch your toes.
Shimmy shimmy shimmy,
Wiggle your nose.
Just watch out for the broccoli stew. (Ew.)
cute book for preschoolers
Sandra Boynton books are favorites of my young grandson. They are short enough for his attention span and always have some humor. I recommend this book for all mothers, grandmothers and others who enjoy reading with little ones.

Boyton Rocks!
Sandra Boyton books are always a big hit at our house-she writes some terrific children's books that all kids seem to love!
My daughter loves this book!!!
My daughter is 10 months old and this is her favorite book. I've read it so much that I know much of it off the top of my head. Just hearing lines from this book is like music to my daughter's ears. She starts moving her head. The colors are beautiful too. We picked this book out when she was 7 months old. We have 2 other Sandra Boynton books but this is her favorite.
Yawn, stretch, eat, and giggle
There's no better way to develop a toddler's language skills than by playing around with words using rhyme and rhythym. That's exactly what Sandra Boynton uses in Hey!
Wake
Up, which is a tiny board story book about animals awakening and getting ready for their new day. In addition to the fun word play, the actions portrayed by the elephant, rabbit, and other animals are easy for kids to mimic, adding to the enjoyment and learning.

Great bit of fun if you don't read too much into it
This is a quick, bouncy book about a group of animals and their morning routine.
You can overthink the broccoli stew bit (my nieces think it's really funny to say "ew" at broccoli, because they LOVE broccoli - and so do I, but I think having it for breakfast would be a little much!), and you can overthink the rabbit not being tall enough for basketball (what? He *is* too short to play that game!), but once you're done with that you're left with just this - a short, bouncy book that will
wake
everybody up when you read it at the top of your lungs in the morning to the tune of... well, any tune at all.
