Is Kim Jong-il really a fanatical fan of Dick Marcinko, the Rogue Warrior? Has the terrifying tyrant actually read every one of Marcinko's many New York Times bestsellers?

One thing is certain: the Rogue Warrior wants nothing to do with the brutal despot. When, in Dictator's Ransom, "the loathsome dwarf"--as George W. Bush derided him--invites Marcinko to the Hermit Kingdom, the Rogue Warrior instantly declines...prompting the CIA to RSVP on his behalf. Marcinko is to track down four covert nuclear warheads secreted in the Supreme Leader's palace.

More than just a thriller, Dictator's Ransom is a novel of electrifying energy and wicked wit.

Rogue Warrior fun

If you have read and enjoyed any of the prior Rogue Warrior books then be prepared for unadulterated fun. I recommend to all action book readers. Funny as well as action packed.

Marcinko

Marcinko hits the ground running and never stops. Typical Rogue Warrior fare with amazing detail of action.

SNAFU AGAIN

Much better than the last book in the Rogue Warrior series. This one was worth the wait. Demo Dick is back at it again. If he is feeling his age, he sure doesn't let anybody know it. This book is packed with all of the action, excitement, and of course sarcasm we all have grown to love and expext from the frog man himself. A must read.

A big improvement...

...over the last couple of titles in this series. The best were the few that immediately followed Demo Dick's autobiographical "Rogue Warrior". Lately he has collaborated with Jim DeFelice with so-so results, until now. "Dictator's Ransom" moves fast--maybe a bit too fast when compared to the early books (it moves at a perfect pace in its second half)--and it is such an improvement that any criticism seems like a quibble. The Rogue Warrior books are not literature, and this one is a lot of fun.

Rogue Warrior: Dictators Ransom

Another good book by Marcinko, but the "bravado" is getting a bit tiresome. For fans, the book, as with others, is interesting and readable, but many will notice the same types of action, etc.
I still like Richard Marcinko, but hope his next books have a bit more behind the scenes explanations, etc.
