Following the phenomenal success of Dirty Red, Essence bestselling author Vickie Stringer is back with a sizzling sequel, Still Dirty, and the notorious cast of characters -- Red, Bacon, and Q -- who made Dirty Red a hit.

Red, the infamous expert of deception, is still up to no good, but faces challenges to baffle even the most clever hustler. Still, Red stops at nothing to outwit her adversaries and avoid being caught by either the law or the outlaws.

In Still Dirty, Red is again caught in a web of murder, theft, and deceit. We find her and her boyfriend Q running for a plane to Mexico after a violent fight with her ex-boyfriend Bacon, a released convict. Bacon is on their heels and determined not to let Red get away alive. Will Q come to her rescue once again? Or will he tire of cleaning up after Red's dirty deeds?

With an action-packed plot and sassy, stylish dialogue, Stringer creates a web of love and adventure that will keep you begging for more.

This book is so good.....Red, Red, Red what can I say about that girl, she is so shiesty but in this sequel you can't blame her, she thinks everybody is out to get her, but not everyone, she just really got to learn to trust a little more and oh my, what she does to.....etc!! I'll leave that to your imagination. Just go get the book you won't be dissappointed!!

Still Stank Nasty Dirty Ball Red!

Although Red attempts to change on account of keeping Q in her life you just can't expect a leopard to change his spots. In "Still Dirty", Q wants out of the game and although Red loves him deeply she know that Q's cash flow will eventually dry up. Withsaid, Red has just as many tricks up her sleeve all in the love of money. Even though Foxy keeps Q current on the word on the street, he continues to get caught in Red's web of deceit. Bacon on the other hand sees her for exactly what and who she is and can't wait to get his grimey hands on her. In the end Miss Filthy, Stank Nasty, Scandalous Red gets exactly what she deserves. Still Dirty???

Throughout the story, I had mixed emotions if I liked it or not. This was not a page-turner like "Dirty Red." However, the end does redeem itself as it obviously sets the reader up for a part three. It left me wanting more. So, if's that's the case and a part 3 delivers, then "Still Dirty" serves it's purpose.
I do think the writing was good and creative, there were aspects I enjoyed as well as parts I found boring. It just took me too long to finish it; yet, I did which is more than I can say for many others.
Overall, like some reviewers have already stated, it lacked the nail-biting suspense and durrty antics of Red. At the same time, that ending proves the chick can STILL get gangsta on em'!

Still Dirty

After waiting so long for this anticipated squeal, a good read but a disapppointing end. I can't believe Red sold out like that.

Vickie Stringer's sequel to the immensely popular Dirty Red, Still Dirty picks up right where its predecessor left off. After just escaping death at the hands of Bacon, Quentin a.k.a. Q and Red manage to make their escape onto a private plane with Bacon hot on their heels. Readers of the last installment will recall that Bacon was totally justified in his anger towards Red for squandering away his money and stealing his book royalties while he was incarcerated. Red was extremely dirty, truly earning her moniker, not only by double crossing Bacon but almost every person she ran across in part one including Kera, Sasha, Terry, and Blue.

In Still Dirty everyone is hip to Red's games including her lover Q but somehow he feels that Red is capable of turning over a new leaf. Red's attempt at going straight is short lived because once her funds run low she's back up to her old tricks again. While Kera, Sasha, Terry, and Blue try to move on with their lives and get past Red's indiscretions, Bacon isn't so willing to let bygones be bygones. In Still Dirty he re-invents himself all the while planning his revenge against Red. And with all the dirt that Red's done it's high time that she finally gets what's coming to her. Can Red once again come up smelling like roses? Or will her dirty past catch up with her? The answers all lie within the pages of Still Dirty.

What did you like best about the book?
The closure it provided. Still Dirty was highly anticipated because of the longing to see if the characters from part one could recover from the situations that associating with Red put them in. The book did re-visit almost every character that got caught up in Red's vicious web of deceit.

What did you dislike about the book?
The secondary characters that had excellent story lines in part one were almost non-existent in part two. The plot centered on Red and her attempt at trying to go straight which left the book noticeably absent of the griminess of the first novel. Readers looking for the same grittiness that was found in Dirty Red will be disappointed.

How could the author improve the book?
A title adjustment, while I understand that Red was attempting to experience personal growth, the title of the novel, Still Dirty, alluded to Red still being that chick from part one, which she wasn't. A simple question mark at the end of the title, Still Dirty?, could have better helped readers prepare for Red's transformation and the lack of dirtiness found in part two.
