Now THIS is a romance....

I was so intrigued by Eli in the first book: HUNTED. He absolutely fascinated me, and sometimes stole the scene with his endless power, and great conscience.

In this book, he meets his match. I won't ruin the story, but if you love romance with drop your jaw love scenes, this is for you.

Eli should be a role model for every hero. Passion, and compassion. Men are always trying to figure women out. Those two words are the answers they seek. Study Eli guys!!!

Outcast-A Joyfully Recommended Title!!

Eli is one of the Slayers; a member of the Guardians' League dedicated to protecting humans from the Outcast vampires among them. One night, when he is chasing several of his enemies, he is led into a trap. A trap that, unknowingly, a mortal woman has also walked into. Now faced with her possible death, he must keep her safe. He runs, knowing that he will get revenge upon Caen, the Outcast that bit her, at a later date.

Now that he has her, Eli doesn't know what to do with her. One of the Slayers must keep her as a fledgling to guide her in her new life, and when his friend Diego refuses to do it, Eli has no choice. One of the oldest among his kind, he must watch her through her Change and decide what to do with her afterwards.

Renee Hardin never expected this to happen to her. She is furious that Eli has done this to her, but she has nowhere else to go. She has to stay with him, learn from him. With threats closing in all around her, Renee has to find a way to stay away from the Outcasts and the Slayers out for her blood. When she finds herself falling in love with Eli, Renee doesn't know what to do. Can a Slayer and a woman sired by an Outcast find love together?

With appearances from Sian and Diego from Hunted, Outcast manages to take up neatly where the previous story left off. The world within Outcast is interesting and multi-layered, the characters are fascinating and the love story is deep and complicated¾exactly the way I like it. I loved the interaction between Renee and Eli, the little quips that she threw at him, their budding relationship and the revelations about Eli's past. Outcast had me captivated from the first page and I can't recommend it enough.

Have Liked Both Books in the Series

Hunted and Outcast were my first exposure to this author. I like her writing and the way the characters are developed. I also liked how we got to see how both characters were thinking and feeling rather than being one sided. I am looking forward to the next book!

Great read and a definite page turner

Having finished Amelia Elias's first book Hunted and really loving it I ordered Outcast right away and liked it even better than her first book.

Again Amelia Elias does not dissapoint with a really solid story, characters, romance and action. I really loved Eli's story.

I highly reccomend this book (series) to anyone who has enjoyed J.R. Ward's books.

Vampire God

This is a story of the love that can never be between Eli, old powerful vampire (or is he?) and Renee Hardin, innocent human now turned into a young (somewhat clueless) fledgling vampire, by an evil "outcast" vampire. Since Eli can't find anyone to deal with raising and training a fledgeling vampire who is tainted with outcast blood, Eli ends up having to take this responsibility on himself. Of course the vampire who trains you is supposed to be more of a father figure and not your lover which causes a lot of self-recrimination along the way on Eli's part. Naturally since Eli is such a stud muffin, Renee is not into the father figure thing and big time into the lover thing. Then again she's thinking that he's the big bad vampire that turned her so she is not going to let her hormones rule and get involved with Eli, but hormones can be pretty strong and so it goes, while bad things keep on chasing Renee and Eli. Will they have their happy ending and will love conquer all?
