I do a lot of outdoor cooking, both grilling and dutch ovens, and I try to keep two pair. I gave away a pair to a friend after I introduced him to the necessity of owning tongs. This is a replacement pair. These particular tongs seem to be more substantial construction than others I have owned and if I should need another pair or give a pair as a gift these would be my first choice.

Real thing

These are the real thing, tongs made the way they used to make them. Nice and strong, not flimsy like the grocery and discount store version you see nowadays.

Good pair of tongs

The tongs are made from a fairly thick gage steel, so they are pretty sturdy. The SS is magnetic, so it is not an austenitic grade of SS, but I tested another pair of SS tongs I have had for years and they are also magnetic, so this is probably not going to be a problem.
