Mouth-watering food, beautiful scenery, and great hosts meet for Dinner on the Diner. Cooking and travel are a natural but mostly unexplored combination; PBS solves this problem by inviting celebrity chefs aboard luxury trains, to cook with the train chefs and tour exciting points of interest along the way.

Travel and eat in style along the breathtaking coast of South Africa with an African American legend in Dinner on the Diner: Dorinda Hafner. Born in Ghana and star of The United Tastes of America, Hafner brings a wonderfully goofy, carefree charm to her journey on a lovely restored steam train. Whether she's petting a cheetah or helping the chef prepare African spoon bread, she expresses a joy of living that's a genuine pleasure. The sensuality of the lush scenery is the perfect backdrop for her adventures in and out of the kitchen, and by the end of her travels the viewer is hungry for more. --Rob Lightner
