Please Release on DVD!

This is my favorite Jerry Lewis movie! It is absolutely hilarious...one laugh after another. My whole family enjoys watching it; however, I have a very old recording that is not good quality.

Please release it on DVD soon!

One of the best Jerry Lewis movies

Without a doubt one of the best Jerry Lewis movies. This film is just packed with great comedians. Jerry Lewis, John McGiver,
Angnes Moorehead (Bewitched), Ray Walston (My Favorite Martian), and many others.
Jerry is a poor boob named Norman. Now Norman is a really nice guy, honest, hard working, and would do anything for anyone. Especially
for his girl. But like all Jerry Lewis characters he`s a disaster looking for a place to happen. His girl (Jill St. John) is the
heir to a big chain of department stores, but she doesn`t want Norman to know this. She wants to make sure he loves her for
herself, not because she`s rich. Her parents are Moorehead and her hopelessly henpecked husband McGiver. Moorehead`s character
is the ruthless driving force behind the Tuttle Empire and wants to prove to her daughter just what a boob Jerry really is.
So she orders the store manager (Ray Walston) to hire the boy and give him every dirty impossible job he can think of. The result
is disaster after disaster and laugh after laugh.
Walston makes a surprisingly good (not too mean) villian for the film, and all too often has his dirty tricks backfire on him.
Lewis is at top form in the film and turns in one of his best comedy performances.

I would highly recommend them if you are looking to
purchase a moviel.

Lewis at his best

I remember this film for the classic scene of Jerry Lewis acting out Leroy Anderson's musical piece "The Typewriter." This scene has no dialog and highlights Lewis's talents with just hands and face. The movie calls Lewis's character into the Tuttle department store for a job interview; when he discovers an empty HR department, Jerry Lewis wanders over to an empty chair with a manual typewriter. He does amazing solo comic work by imitating the music perfectly on the typerwriter, each keystroke mimicked with high-flying fingers, even down to the chimes that signal a carriage return; his facial expressions and body language are amazing. I would never have imagined that watching someone type could be so hilarious, but this shows off Lewis' comic skills beautifully.

The huge store gags described in other reviews are also funny, but this scene acts as a quiet counterpoint - equally funny.
