Coming of Age Adventure based on Ann Brashares' best-selling novel about a special 16th summer in the lives of four lifelong friends who are separated for the first time. On a shopping trip the girls find a pair of thrift-shop jeans that fits each of them perfectly and they decide to use these "magic" pants as a way of keeping in touch over the months ahead each girl wearing the jeans for a week to see what luck they bring her before sending them on to the next. Not as good as the books...but definitely a good movie.

The first time I saw the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants I was pretty disappointed, but it somehow has grown on me and turned into one of my favorites. There are some differences between the books and movie, but that is just something to be expected, which is something I had to figure out. When just analyzing the movie, rather than comparing it to the amazing books, the movie proves itself to be pretty amazing as well. I'll be seeing the second one August 6th!

Great Movie

This movie is a great chick flick for girls of all ages. Lena, Tibby, Carmen, and Bridget will make you laugh and cry (and I really did cry at one point in the movie. The acting is really good, and the viewer finds themselves really involved with whats going on, and can can sympathize with at least one of the girls' situation. Its a really good movie, one to bring friends and hearts together.

Upbeat and sweet

While this is definitely a story for the teenagers, I found myself quite fond of this charming little movie. I enjoyed the book and found this a nice adaption. The girls are charming and fit their roles perfectly. The soundtrack is fresh and fitting. This may bug men and the cynical, but the right crowd of girls will be pleased.
